Assembled 60W RMS Class A Stereo ax-Amplifier

Description

Featuring innovative ‘Augmented Feedback Error Correction’ (AFEC), the ax-Amplifier delivers 60W RMS per channel into 8 Ohms in Class A operation with vanishingly low distortion levels of less than 3.5ppm at 1kHz, and at 140W peak class A power, less than 7ppm distortion, while at 220W RMS into 2 Ohms, distortion is less than 12ppm. The ax-Amplifier is assembled in a Modushop ‘Dissipante’ housing measuring 450mm wide x 470mm deep x 230mm high (figures include the connector and feet protrusions). The ax-Amp achieves ultra-low noise and hum at -126 dBr (referenced to 60W RMS output).  Users can manually select between Class A, Class AAB, and Class AB modes. If class A or class AAB operation is selected, an Automatic Plateau Bias circuit reverts the amplifier to class AB operation 40 seconds after no music is detected, saving considerable power. Comprehensive power ON/OFF soft-start, speaker muting, and amplifier protection are included, and each unit ships with a full set of measurements and a 5-year no-quibble warranty.
