   Hello Geoff, the current PCB versions come with potentiometers to trim the output voltages to exactly +-18V – if you look at the X-Altra Mini II presentation, its detailed on slide 29 – link here https://hifisonix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/X-Altra-Mini-II-Preamplifier-Main-Presentation-June-7-2023.pdf

   Hi Andrew,
   Does the standard PSU now come with adjustment pots (as described in your X-Altra Mini II). Current description only shows Mk1 details for changing resistor values.

   Andrew,
   I have listened with only my shop headphones, sound has nice weight but these headphones do not have very good mids and highs hence they have been relegated to the garage. When I get the power supply voltage set correctly and properly cased I will listen more seriously with my better headphones.

   This was a nice, fun project to start learning to solder surface mount components. In the past I had been using a regular iron to solder smt. This time around I purchased a hot air solder station, by the end I was able to move pretty quickly and found I actually prefer the smt to through hole. I am 67 years old and my eyesight and steadiness of hand is not what it was but this was still very doable.
